A high level architecture of EIDOSTM is shown below. The horizontal top part shows the current clinical workflow from left to right. Tissue is taken from a patient diagnosed with cancer as a first step. This tissue is thereafter treated in the hospital for analysis and stained with various substances so that certain biological characteristics become apparent. The treating of the tissue is called histopathology. The treated tissue can then be digitized and analyzed by medical experts.
Based on this analysis and general patient information, a decision is made whether or not to select this patient for immunotherapy. EIDOSTM leaves this process intact as the basis is a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud architecture.
